You can't fool Mother Nature - Hurricane Katrina

Hurrican Katrina struck New Orleans Sept. 2005

You can’t fool Mother Nature
It’s often a surprise
When the levees overflowed
The water sure did rise

Those who didn't leave in time
The flood began to chase
Perched upon their rooftops
This became a rescue place

 Losing their belongings
All are gone for good
The dog was left behind
Alone is where he stood

 You can’t fool Mother Nature
This game you’ll never win
Tornadoes near your home
May cause your house to spin

Earthquakes cause destruction
The ground begins to shake
Buildings start collapsing
And valuables will break

Weather isn’t perfect
No matter where you live
Beware of Mother Nature
Respect you need to give
