I won't remember your name

When introduced
You’ll tell me your name
And then of course
I’ll do the same

But when I see you
Later on
Your name I forgot
My memory’s gone

My name of course
You still recall
Your memory’s good
My name you’ll call

I need to listen
And pay attention
So in the future
Your name I’ll mention

The family farm

The family farm
Is being sold
To build more homes
So I’ve been told

Lots of money
They’re being paid
Otherwise
They’d have stayed

Too good an offer
To be refused
Their fertile land
Won’t ever be used

Wild animals
Have been chased
No more trees
So they’re displaced

More new homes
Are being built
Until they’re bought
Now where’s the guilt

More family farms
Have now been sold
To build more stores
So I’ve been told

Too many stores
In shopping centers
Standing empty
Without any renters

The family farm
Will not remain
As song as someone
Would like to claim

Stay at home moms

Stay at home moms
At home they stay
Watching their children
While they play

Stay at home moms
Stay at home wives
Unwilling to miss
Their children’s lives

Stay at home moms
No money they’ll earn
No babysitters
To cause concern

Stay at home moms
Not nearly as stressed
Rushing around
Getting everyone dressed

Stay at home dads
When moms want to work
Deserve to be praised
Don’t give them a smirk

Only in the USA

Only in the USA
No one minds
Saying they're gay

Only in the USA
They’ll show everyone
How much they weigh

Only in the USA
There’s a large array
Of places to pray

Only in the USA
Though he strayed
He's liked today

Only in the USA
No one cares
What they say

Only in the USA
Our troops will fight
So far away

Only in the USA
Those unwelcome
Manage to stay

Primary Colors

Primary Colors
Red, yellow and blue
Combinations
Make different hues

Yellow with blue
Yellow with red
Green and orange
Colors we blend

Orange or red
Add some black
Now we have brown
Among this pack

Shades of brown
Use black or white
Black makes it dark
White makes it light

So why do we say
We're black or white
Black has no color
And white reflects light

Fear of Flying

Do you remember when we could legally give or sell our airline tickets to anyone and the airlines didn't care? Now we have the Transportation Safety Administration making sure the name on our ticket matches our photo ID.

Do you remember when we didn’t have to put our coats, shoes and carry-on items on a conveyor belt to get x-rayed? Now we have to check normal size toiletries with our luggage, however, knitting needles are still allowed on-board.

Do you remember when we didn’t have to walk through a metal detector without any footwear? Now we get to walk on ice cold floors.

Do you remember when they asked if we packed our own suitcase, if it's been with us the whole time, and if we were asked to carry someone else's stuff. Now they publicly humilitate whoever they want by waving a wand up and down our bodies if we pose a threat.

Do you remember when we could easily walk from one terminal to the next to check out their stores and restaurants. Now we have to remain in our own area.

Do you remember when we could drop someone off at their departure gate and meet them at their arrival gate? Now we have emotional family reunions in baggage claim.

Do you remember when we could lock our suitcases to prevent theft from other passengers? Now we have people rummaging through our luggage with a note stating “This suitcase has been searched."

Do you remember when hijacked airplanes landed on runways and most hostages were released unharmed? Now there aren't any hostages because hijacked planes are flown into buildings.

Do you remember when our only fear was just the fear of flying?

You have class

You look great
In nice attire
Paying full price
Is your desire

Discount stores
Are not your place
Better stores
You will embrace

Victoria’s secret
You won’t keep
Sexy nighties
While you sleep

Polo, Gucci
Men should wear
They'll look good
And women will stare

On the runway
Fashion dictated
Most of these styles
Are overrated

Pay lots of money
Or pay less
It’s your decision
How to dress

Look up in the sky

Look up in the sky
Together they stay
Flying around
During the day

Miniatures houses
Where they can relax
And they don’t pay
A property tax

Insects they’ll eat
With great finesse
But when people feed them
Then bugs they’ll eat less

Eagles and Herons
Bird watchers stare
Looking at birds
I really don’t care

Seagulls annoy me
When I’m at the beach
Eating whatever
Food is in reach

Those who hate cats
Should understand
Cats will kill birds
When nearby they land

They’ll splatter your car
They may splatter you
You have no control
When they fly over you

Look up in the sky
I hope it’s a plane
Although I like birds
They can be a pain
