I love reality TV

Certain shows
I love on TV
To live their lives
Vicariously

A spousal visa
For just 90 days
They need to marry
Or have to part ways

From other countries
For a better life
In the USA
A husband or wife

On the Internet
It’s how they met
A green card
They hope to get

Six hundred pounds
And maybe more
Almost too big
To fit through a door

So much food
You see them eat
It’s hard for them
To stand on their feet

A surgeon in Houston
Can operate
But first they need
To lose some weight

A high protein diet
No carbs or a sweet
That 50-pound loss
Will be hard to meet

Quintuplets, Sextuplets
As cute as can be
Another show
I’ll watch on TV

Brothers and sisters
Demanding attention
Exhausted parents
Need I mention

Cribs and diapers
Formula and clothes
All these babies
Is not what they chose

Fertility drugs
A decision to take
Too many babies
They would make

The bachelor
And the bachelorette
Some pick the right one
But most they regret

Lots of kissing
On these shows
A fantasy suite
Where anything goes

Thanks for sharing
Your life with me
Do you make lots of money
On reality TV

Empty nesters & retirees

My neighborhood is pretty
The streets are clean
With beautiful flowers
And grass that's green

Throughout the day
It's usually quiet
People will walk
But no one will riot

You always feel safe
Police are here
Take a walk at night
Nothing to fear

Except for the dog park
No people to meet
To stand and talk with
On any street

I'll stay in my yard
And swim in my pool
On very hot days
I'll always be cool

With endless days
The same routine
My morning coffee
Without caffeine

For empty nesters
And retirees
We live alone
Among the trees
