My neighborhood is pretty
The streets are clean
With beautiful flowers
And grass that's green
Throughout the day
It's usually quiet
People will walk
But no one will riot
You always feel safe
Police are here
Take a walk at night
Nothing to fear
Except for the dog park
No people to meet
To stand and talk with
On any street
I'll stay in my yard
And swim in my pool
On very hot days
I'll always be cool
With endless days
The same routine
My morning coffee
Without caffeine
For empty nesters
And retirees
We live alone
Among the trees
