Around the picnic table
Outside our tent
A camping trip
Is where we went
Persuading my wife
And teen-age daughter
I’ll buy the steaks
No cows we’ll slaughter
A propane stove
To cook each steak
While looking at
A scenic lake
We’ll eat on china
And drink our wine
Plus light some candles
While we dine
Two days of camping
The food was good
And now a hotel
As promised I would
