The modern dog

We brush our teeth
And go to school
Even though
We pant and drool

At the dog park
Is where we play
And doggie day care
When they go away

We eat Science diet
And milk bone treats
Chew rawhide bones
And never eat sweets

We go to a groomer
We have to get bathed
And if our hair’s long
We'll get it shaved

We star in movies
Perform in shows
We even wear
Our own line of clothes

We like to travel
They take us along
In hotel rooms
We now belong

Health insurance
We easily get
It comes in handy
When paying the Vet

When we're tired
They'll hear us snore
In our own little bed
On their bedroom floor

We get cremated
After we die
An urn with our ashes
They'll probably buy
