Football games
On Monday night
A field of dreams
The fans have fun
Watching their team
Hit a home run
A league of their own
During the war
Women played baseball
But not anymore
Sporting events
Thousands attend
At home or a bar
Watch with a friend
Basketball, football
The baseball team
Even in movies
Spectators scream
Each of these teams
Scouts will come
Many good players
Offers to some
High School teams
To my dismay
The money spent
For football to play
Stadium lights
Strike up the band
It’s what I enjoy
And understand
