The good old days

No one wore
Designer jeans
Or left a message
On your machine

At the movies
A film you’d see
It wasn’t watched
On your TV

Just a few channels
On your set
No remote
For you to get

A credit card
You couldn’t swipe
And no computer
To use to type

Catalog shopping
Wasn't on line
Sears and Roebuck
Was divine

Metal detectors
Didn’t exist
Food cost less
On your grocery list

No child proff caps
Or taping your shows
Women wore stockings
But not panty hose

No luggage inspected
Before you flew
And no one thought
Of harming the crew

Pearl Harbor was bombed
The ships were ablaze
It wasn't always
The good old days
