I went to a party
Was I a disgrace
Because what I wore
Was way out of place
Casual attire
It said what to wear
However, it was
A fancy affair
The women wore dresses
They all looked great
To buy a new outfit
Was way too late
I couldn't go home
It was out of town
So I sat in a corner
And tried not to frown
No one would comment
On what I had worn
At least I didn't wear
Jeans that were torn
A casual pool party
Capri's I will wear
But never to any
Restaurant affair
