The Wright Brothers

On December 17, 1903
A little home built plane
Invented by the Wright Brothers
It did more than entertain

In the state of North Carolina
This first airplane was flown
At a town called Kitty Hawk
It soon became well known

Back then they couldn't envision
We would have jumbo jets
With built in movie screens
We can even bring our pets

Twenty four years later
Was Charles Lindburgh's flight
The first to cross the Atlantic
His landing was an awesome sight

Along came Amelia Earhardt
Two oceans she had crossed
Until that fateful day
When Emilia's plane was lost

In the Air Force as a pilot
Chuck Yeager flew so fast
Breaking the sound barrier
This speed was unsurpassed

Airplanes carrying weapons
Far back as World War One
It was built for transportation
To fight wars it needed a gun

Airplanes that got hijacked
Waited on the ground
Those jets flown into buildings
Would become a burial mound

Little Boy (2 years old fighting stage 4 cancer)

One day I had heard
About a little guy
He had gotten real sick
But no one knows why

His mother keeps writing
Letting us know
Her son will get better
Though it would be slow

This two year old boy
Can not comprehend
The needles and tubes
Will help him mend

He's never alone
His mom's always there
He's poked and prodded
It doesn't seem fair

Into his small body
The chemo flowed
The very first session
Along a long road

Riding his bike
On the hospital floor
He isn't aware
Of what he'll endure

More chemo he needs
At home he can't stay
But he will be home
On Christmas Day

Carter Dang
You're a tough little guy
With a family who loves you
They won't let you die

Modern Churches

The churches today
Can house many people
Though you won't find
A spire or a steeple

A Houston mega church
Had been a stadium
Their pastor is famous
And thousands will come

In modern churches
No church bells will chime
There is no bell tower
For someone to climb

No stained glass windows
The alters are plain
But those who come
Don't seem to complain

Those grand catherdrals
That they use to build
If you get to see them
I'm sure you'll be thrilled

You'll get caught

You're secret's not safe
You will get caught
When you beat your wife
And you say it's her fault

If you're rich and famous
And you sleep around
When you get caught
It could bring you down

It may take a long time
Finding out you did wrong
Fondling those boys
Who you told, "come along"

And funds you embezzled
It was you they trusted
Their money you took
Everyone was disgusted

If you view porno sites
If you pose in the nude
Your political term
May not be renewed

Don't rob any banks
And never molest
Otherwise you will hear
"you're under arrest"

Taylor Pork Roll

On the boardwalk
When I took a stroll
Soon I'd get near
Taylor Pork Roll

As I approached
This pork roll place
Hunger raged
Upon my face

One slice of pork roll
Was what I'd eat
At 60 cents
It was quite a treat

Pork roll slices
Grilled in a line
It didn't take long
Before I'd get mine

Perfectly cooked
And put on a bun
I'd eat with catsup
Until I was done

Evelyn Greenwood
You sure made my day
For the Taylor Pork Roll
You sent my way

Karaoke Singers

Karaoke singers
Don't appeal to me
Are they wanna bees
Singing songs for free

Some sing very good
Others are real bad
Countless songs are sung
When they're done I'm glad

Karaoke singers
They like what they do
Singing famous songs
And entertaining you

Feet for fish

The fish were nipping
At my bare feet
While in their tank
My feet were a treat

Tiny fish swimming
Swarming to eat
Surrounding my toes
And the soles of my feet

On Mykenos Island
My feet fed the fish
Unlike having fish
Placed on my dish

For fifteen euros
My feet became prey
To try something new
I'd eagerly pay
