Will I perish in a fire
Is that how I will expire
Will I drown in a flood
And be covered in mud
Will I jump off a bridge
Or drive off a ridge
Will I die a violent death
As I take my final breath
Will you find me lying dead
In the comfort of my bed
Will my heart refuse to beat
While my life is incomplete
Will my death come very slow
As I’m eager to let go
Is the anwer just to wait
And to leave it up to fate

Disruptions...Interruptions
A car alarm
A siren blares
I can not sleep
But no one cares
A traffic jam
I’m running late
A meeting missed
They couldn’t wait
The lights went out
The power's gone
A tree fell down
Across my lawn
My favorite show
Or while I read
They’ll interrupt
My help they need
A noisy train
Disrupts my sleep
My sanity
I'd like to keep

We're outliving our bodies
Replace your hip
Replace your knee
Fix your eyes
So you can see
Your heart’s at risk
Your arteries blocked
After a bypass
The block’s unlocked
Your teeth are loose
Your gums are sore
Instead of the dentist
You might ignore
You’re hearing less
Your back is aching
You can’t remember
And you’re not faking
No need to worry
I'm sure you're aware
If you have insurance
There's medical care

I hate change
Phone numbers change
A change of address
Change your password
So no one will guess
Change your mind
Change your clothes
Spouses will change
When one of them goes
A change of heart
Change your name
Your plans have changed
They're not the same
Times have changed
Change your plane
Spare me some change
And don’t complain
It’s time for a change
Change your expression
Your mood has changed
During this session

Roger Clemens, Guilty or Innocent
Former Houston Astros Pitcher, Roger Clemens, who had gone on to play for the New York Yankees has been accused by his previous trainer Brian McNamee of allowing him to inject Clemens with steroids, more than a dozen times during the course of three seasons. Clemens denied this accusation stating that he was only injected with pain medication and vitamin B-12. His career revived when he was 36, becoming the greatest player of all time. He continues to play baseball even though he’s in his mid 40’s and considered too old. Clemens was also one of the richest athletes in North America in 2007 being paid $19 million by the New York Yankees, although he spent half the season nursing his injuries.
Roger Clemens
Baseball pitcher
Over the years
He's gotten richer
He and his lawyer
Appeared on the news
Claiming his trainer
Falsely accused
Giving him drugs
He didn’t choose
Helping the players
Win not lose
Interrupting
TV shows
Making sure
The public knows
Clemens wants to
Clear his name
And guarantee
The Hall of Fame

The Presidential Race
The Presidential Primary - 2008
President George W. Bush - final year of office
The presidential race
They all must keep the pace
The race is very long
And many tag along
Much money will prevail
Along the campaign trail
They all must give a speech
Cut taxes they will preach
They’ll pledge to end the war
And also help the poor
The best man may not win
This race a woman’s in
The race has just begun
But when the race is done
The one who comes in first
May also be the worst
