We were attacked
Though not at war
Planes hit the Towers
Like never before
The Pentagon hit
What else was planned
It was no accident
They trained not to land
Flight 93
The plane was hijacked
Passengers plotted
To take the plane back
No target got hit
Because they were brave
Their plane had crashed
The crash site's their grave
They entered the Towers
At different locations
All who responded
Had no hesitation
Quite shocking it was
The towers did fall
Out of the rubble
Few would crawl
Rescue efforts
Were underway
In search of survivors
Hoping each day
Time to clean up
Remove the debris
A massive effort
That had to be
Years have elapsed
Movies were made
We shall never forget
Or let memories fade
