Best in show
I used to be
A pretty dog
You guided me
A beauty queen
You used to be
We won first place
Both you and me
We’d wake up early
In the day
You’d go to work
Inside I’d stay
We used to walk
For many miles
They'd stop and stare
We’d see their smiles
Your table scraps
I hardly ate
I was in shape
You watched my weight
I was protection
You weren’t scared
You weren’t alone
I always cared
No chasing squirrels
Or fetch the ball
But I'll still hear you
When you call
Because I'm older
It's hard to play
But by your side
I'll always stay
You’ll live much longer
Soon I will go
Your loyal dog
Once best in show
