Sipping your coffee
Each morning alone
You try not to gripe
You try not to groan
A younger woman
Wanted your spouse
He asked you to leave
His great big house
A lengthy marriage
He chose to undo
Because a new love
He had to pursue
Several weeks later
The news arrived
His car had crashed
He hadn’t survived
All of his money
And property too
His will still claimed
Belonged to you
Sipping your cocktail
While stunned you are
This turn of events
Was really bizarre
