They massed produced
The Ford Model T
An affordable car
Yet a luxury
The horse and carriage
Would have to go
It couldn’t keep up
It was too slow
Our country changed
Just overnight
People could travel
And what a delight
A burger and fries
They’d take a ride
Where it was once
The countryside
Gas was cheap
No need to worry
Unpaved roads
They couldn't hurry
Bridges were built
With the interstate
Cars traveled faster
Less people would wait
More and more cars
Traffic congested
On the highways
Fumes ingested
A new century
Since Ford’s invention
What’s in the future
Is now the question
