I’ve looked at you
For many years
I watched you laugh
And wipe your tears
I watched you grow
I helped you learn
And every day
You would return
You liked to snack
While I was there
I couldn’t eat
You couldn't share
You shopped with me
You learned to cook
You didn't want
To read a book
Suspenseful games
Depressing news
There was a lot
For you to choose
A scary movie
Made you scream
While you napped
I watched you dream
I’ve been your friend
Each night and day
On sleepless nights
By me you’d stay
A bigger screen
You said not yet
Until I break
You will not get
I looked at you
When watching me
I’ve always been
Good company
